New DonorNet Announcements

The following are announcements from UNOS:

DonorNet® Q& A Conference Calls – New Schedule for 2007

We are providing this information to all UNetSM Site Administrators and DonorNet® Implementation Coordinators. Please distribute to everyone in your program who would benefit from this information.

Due to the success of the weekly DonorNet® Q& A Conference Calls that were held in November and early December, these calls have been rescheduled to continue through the month of January. The first call after the New Year will be on Wednesday, January 10 and will continue through January 31. The list of conference call dates and times are as follows:

Wednesday, January 10 – 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Eastern
Wednesday, January 17 – 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Eastern
Wednesday, January 24 – 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Eastern
Wednesday, January 31 – 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Eastern

The toll free dial in number for the calls is (877) 232-4392, participant code 470691.

Previously, UNOS sponsored two separate conference calls; one for practical user questions and another for technology issues. This new group of DonorNet Q& A Conference Calls in January will be combined to address both areas of interest.

If you have any questions, please contact feedback@donornet2007.net.

UNetSM System Notice – 12/20/2006

Enhancement for DonorNet® Mobile Application

We are providing this information to all UNetSM Site Administrators and DonorNet® Implementation Coordinators. Please distribute to everyone in your program who would benefit from this information.

The following enhancement was implemented in UNet this morning.

Certain models of Blackberry® (and potentially other mobile devices) do not offer the capability of horizontal scrolling when a web page is wider than the actual display screen. Therefore, an option has been added to the Customize feature in DonorNet that allows users of the PDA-based DonorNet Mobile to choose to have data displayed either in a standard grid fashion (horizontal display) or in a new list format, allowing a vertical display of data.

The grid or table format will remain as the default view. To take advantage of this new option, access the Customize option on the front page of DonorNet from your PC. Select the Donor Summary tab and click on the organ type. Select Mobile View and choose the new List Format option at the top, located under Mobile display preference for serial (multi row) data. Click Save at the bottom to retain the new option.

Welcome to NYODN's DonorNet website!

This website was created in part to establish a common communication link between the New York Organ Donor Network and its associated transplant centers in discussing DonorNet 2007.

We hope that you'll find this site helpful and informative.

Over the next few days, more contributors will be added to this site, and we strongly encourage everyone to share ideas or issues by selecting 'comments' at the bottom of each posting. Much of the value of this website rests on the participation of its users.

In the right margin of this site, you should see a link to the official DonorNet 2007 website. We strongly encourage you to participate in the tutorial by clicking on this link and then selecting the 'learning' tab.

We look forward to working with you over the next few weeks.
